To Chris, With Love

If I gave you my heart,

Cold and broken,

Would you be the fire that warms it?

Would you be the glue to mend it?

If I gave you my heart,

Would you take me with it?

If I loved you forever,

Would you love me too?

If I gave you everything I have to offer,

Told you the truth to everything you ask,

Would you do the same for me?

If I told you I loved you,

Would you say you love me too?

Or would you just smile sadly and turn away?

All I have is this poem to tell you how I feel.

All I have are these songs in my head,

They all make me think of you.

All I have is this feeling of torment,

When I can’t talk to you,

This feeling of excitement when I do.

If I told you I miss you,

If I said “I love you.”

What would you say?

My Band

So Friday was a very hard day in my life. I conversed with my lead singer during our first block class. There's been a conflict between me and our drummer and so I asked Haley (singer) how it would affect the band. It was then that she told me that she herself had quit the band. I had basically quit the band the night before. So with the two founding members gone, the band fell apart and broke up. It's funny how things can happen so fast. I never expected this. I knew there was a good chance this could happen, because we all know it's happened to the best, but when you're in a band with your four best friends you tend feel that it's almost impossible for something like this to happen.
